There’ll be fireworks and a whole lot more happening this weekend. As of Saturday, Venus begins a six-week retrograde cycle. It’s much different than Mercury retrograde, that “oh, not again” transit. When Venus puts it in reverse, it prompts a critical reevaluation and regroup regarding yourself, relationships, or finances. Feel your way along, don’t push what isn’t coming naturally, and make sure to give your full attention to the here-and-now.

While the start of Venus retrograde often brings a stall-out, this weekend is likely to produce the opposite thanks to Mars/Uranus hitting full steam. On Sunday, Uranus also begins a retrograde cycle. Beyond being a great setup for a vacation or a cut-loose, this bunch-up of transits can feel like the rocks have suddenly been cleared away or that destiny has made a bid for the reins. What do you need? What do you want? Mars in Cancer fuels instincts and emotions. Uranus retrograde in Aries cuts to the chase with a sharper aim.
