The season is upon us: The decorations are up, the lists are being compiled, and our bank accounts are taking a hit as we search high and low for the perfect holiday gifts.

If you'd rather avoid malls and big box stores, Make It! Vancouver has returned to the city for a second year in a row. With more than 250 artisan vendors from across the country, visitors will be able to find funky and ethically made gifts like Christmas ornaments, jewelry, artwork, clothing, and everything in between.

Siblings Chandler and Jenna Herbut created the shopping event after the duo found it difficult to persuade friends and family to attend the craft fairs that they often participated in around the holidays.

Make It! Vancouver is at the PNE Forum (2901 East Hastings) until Sunday (December 6).
