Functional fabrics and sun-bleached shades rule H&M Studio’s spring collection

You can typically count on H&M Studio to be on top of what’s hot.

The line is the trendiest of the Swedish retailer’s many seasonal collections—a rotating capsule wardrobe of sorts—and its latest offerings for spring and summer are no different.

Inspired by the spontaneity of carefree summer days, where afternoons spent exploring the city easily segue into ocean- and poolside lounging—also known as a regular day in Vancouver—the Studio S/S 2016 line brings boho-chic to the urbanite through a palette of sun-faded hues and a functional mix of silk, cotton, breathable leather, and canvas.

We love the flattering halter-necks, tie-dye blends, and athletic drawstring details in the women’s collection, while dudes should have no trouble getting behind the breezy, ridiculously easy-to-wear layers that make up the bulk of the menswear.

The H&M Studio spring/summer line for 2016 is available now at H&M stores.
