Aritzia opened the doors to its revamped boutique on Robson Street today (April 15), which now spans almost 13,000 square feet when combined with its neighbouring Aritzia Base, Aritzia, and Wilfred stores.

We stopped by the shop this morning for a first look at the new room: a bright, open-concept space filled with potted greenery, cozy rugs and furnishings, and an indoor rock garden. The store showcases the evolution of Aritzia's in-house labels, which include Wilfred, Wilfred Free, and Babaton, and incorporates works by local artists, modern coffee table books, and structural art pieces. 

Speaking on behalf of Aritzia's chief marketing officer, Oliver Walsh, a company representative tells the Straight that future Aritzia stores will be modeled after the style of the Robson Street location.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight (April 15), the Artizia on Robson Street will be hosting a grand opening party that's open to the public. The bash will feature well-known names from Vancouver's creative industries, including photographer and artist Jennilee Marigomen, Nectar Juicery's Tori Holms, Harlow Skin Co. owner Chrystal MacLeod, and ceramicist Maggie Boyd.

DJ Ultragrrrl will be spinning beats throughout the evening and special photography will be conducted by Denni Grocer of The Collective You. Bites inspired by Vancouver's vibrant neighbourhoods will be supplied by Brett Turner, culinary director and co-owner of Cocktails & Canapés.

Aritzia first announced its Robson Street expansion last spring. The company is currently in the process of revamping its Metropolis at Metrotown location, which will open in a brand new space in the mall this May.
