The South Granville neighbourhood is often dubbed a home décor and kitchenware oasis—so it shouldn’t be a surprise that an iconic French cookware brand has decided to open its doors here.

Vancouver’s first Le Creuset (2997 Granville Street) retail shop spans over 2,000 square feet, and features white walls and ample lighting that allows all the attention to be placed to its colourful products.

Shoppers will find everything from its signature cast iron casserole dishes and oval French ovens to salad plates, stainless steel pans, and mini cocottes to black phenolic handle knives and carbon steel kettles.

Le Crueset is known for its wide selection of cookware colours. Every shade of colour is available at this boutique, including the popular rose pink hue named “Bonbon”.

This standalone shop is the eighth one to open in Canada, and the 500th internationally. But what makes this store unique is that the world’s first Le Creuset Café will open at this location.

Guests can expect to enjoy a full service coffee bar that serves up cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, teas, and more. Freshly baked pastries from Thierry will also be available.

A culinary atelier and 12-seat bar-table is another highlight of this boutique. It will be used to host private cooking demonstrations taught by local and national chefs.

Le Creuset opens its doors tomorrow (June 7) at 10 a.m.
