Open House: Inside Markella Mildenberger's art-filled West End apartment

      Open House takes a look inside the homes of local artists, musicians, designers, and pretty much whoever else wants to let us nosey folks at the Georgia Straight find out how and where they live.

      Back in October 2015, the Straight met and photographed Markella Mildenberger, owner and artist at the Red Palette, for a cover story on her incredible art that is transformed into wallpaper, clothing, prints, and more. 

      Her apartment, albeit small, blew our minds: wall-to-wall art, childhood trinkets, and a sizeable art station made it a creative's dream. So when we thought up this new video feature, her cozy, colourful home was the first to come to mind.
