Hello, 2015! The year opens with a major kickoff from Mars in opposition to Jupiter. Whether resolutions are your style or not, this “let’s get on it” aspect couldn’t be better timed for an upgrade, a clean page, a fresh stab, or a new initiative. Mars in Aquarius is an innovative, breakthrough, and bring-it-to-life influence. It dishes up a fresh perspective, new insights, and goals to shoot for. Mars in opposition to Jupiter retrograde can provide sharper tools, enabling us to cut through to better clarity and take better aim at objec-tives, options, and opportunities.

Thursday should make for great football-watching and socializing. On a broader scale, Mars/Jupiter can give rise to social cause, unrest, and weather extremes. Friday could stir up late-night action as the sun catches a fresh wind with Uranus just past midnight. Venus enters Aquarius early Saturday morning, and the sun conjuncts Pluto in the late afternoon. Watch for a power or energy surge. Sunday morning could be par for the course, but by evening, the emotional Cancer full moon hits full throttle. Mercury’s trek into Aquarius is the first to hit the switch just after 5 p.m. PST. Something unexpected could erupt or command your immediate attention. Fast action or a confrontation could be necessary. Let’s hope instincts kick into gear ahead of raw or reactive emotions. No matter how disconcerting, see it as an opportunity to get it out in the open and/or cleared away.

      Aries
      March 20 - April 20

Mars is ready for action right out of the 2015 starting gate. One way or another, Thursday puts you on the race-ahead. Try not to overdo it or overextend yourself. Expect the home and family action to continue through the emotionally charged full-moon weekend. Saturday/Sunday dishes up one thing after another. By Wednesday, you’ll have a better handle on it.

      Taurus
      April 20 - May 21

New Year’s Day can take it out of you. Friday allows you more breathing room. Saturday/Sunday, try not to let the crowds, the traffic, or the unexpected get under your skin. Take it one step at a time and you won’t feel so overwhelmed. As of back-to-it Monday, you’re in much better shape. The week ahead should prove productive.

      Gemini
      May 21 - June 21

New Year’s morning may start slowly or late, but Mars/Jupiter should get you up to full throttle by midday. That good buzz should provide good fuel through Friday. Saturday/Sunday can be strained or all over the map, thanks to a hot-wired Cancer full moon. Rely on Venus and Mercury into Aquarius to pump you full of fast-acting intuition, wit, and ingenuity.

      Cancer
      June 21 - July 22

Off the grid and/or zoning out in your favourite way is best for New Year’s Day, but the stars aren’t going to let you off the hook for long. From one extreme to another, the moon hits Cancer by suppertime on Saturday and keeps on high action/high drama through the full moon late Sunday. It’s jump-into-it time regarding a relationship, financial, career, or location move.

      Leo
      July 22 - August 23

Brunch, a sports marathon, and getting out of town are all good kickoffs to the new year. Social, emotional, or event-wise, an action-packed and emotional full-moon weekend lies ahead. You may have to make a quick decision. Stay alert for anything goes, jump on opportunity, but also be careful and avoid reactionary impulses. Wednesday is optimal.

      Virgo
      August 23 - September 23

Even if you have no plans for New Year’s Day, Mars/Jupiter is sure to light a fire. Whether you’re at work, at play, or having a travel day, Friday will run fairly smoothly. Saturday can keep you going strong, but there’s also something on hot brew. Sunday evening hits the release valve; it’s good to get it out in the open. Monday, you’re on the upswing.

      Libra
      September 23 - October 23

As New Year’s Day comes alive, you will too. Travel, socialize, catch up on mail, media, and sports. Friday’s a breeze to get through. Despite the emotional tension, switch-up, or sudden sidetrack that Sunday’s full moon can deliver, Venus and Mercury into Aquarius are opportune and
revitalizing. Monday through Wednesday sets you onto a productive back-to-it track.

      Scorpio
      October 23 - November 22

Although the night before or the whole holiday shebang may have worn you down, Mars/Jupiter on New Year’s Day has signed you up for another up-and-at-them round. Travel, sports, or visits make the time fly. Come Saturday/Sunday, you’ll be glad to get rid of the decorations. A busy, perhaps high-stress weekend lies ahead. Monday gets the week off to a good start.

      Sagittarius
      November 22 - December 21

New Year’s Day could ignite a great brainstorm. Once a conversation gets going, a whim takes over, or a creative inspiration gets to you, you’ll hit a great roll. Travel, socialize, or play—Friday continues that good momentum. Saturday/Sunday, you could feel quite vulnerable or touchy. The full moon can stir up something you’ve buried or tried to hide.

      Capricorn
      December 21 - January 20

You could be in for more work or effort than you’d prefer on New Year’s Day, but even so, you’ll find a way to make it fun. On Saturday, take direction from the moment. Full-moon Sunday could see you hit an evening rough patch; tempers can flare. Monday through Wednesday, the stars set you onto a smoother sail.

      Aquarius
      January 20 - February 18

All juiced up and good to go, Mars in Aquarius has you firing on all cylinders right out of the 2015 starting gate. You’ll gain even more fuel as both Venus and Mercury trek into Aquarius over the full-moon weekend. Sunday night could be stressful, but it’s quickly surpassed. Aim to make the most of the week ahead.

      Pisces
      February 18 - March 20

New Year’s Day could be somewhat of a mixed bag, but Mars/Jupiter hits “on” more than “off”. Friday through Sunday replenishes you. Don’t expect to settle in for a quiet Sunday night. The full moon can wind you up, perhaps unexpectedly so. Use the week ahead to establish some good momentum. Monday to Wednesday is optimal.
