Your horoscope from January 15 to 21, 2015
As of Thursday, we’ll be over the midweek Mars/Saturn pressure point. Outside of Friday morning’s dissipation or unforeseen, the going should prove smooth. Saturday and Sunday are great for getting your pleasure fill however suits you best. It’s also likely to be a lucrative weekend, thanks to Venus doing all of us some good.
Whether it’s a runoff or a buying spree, money markets could see brisk action as Venus in Aquarius opposes Jupiter in Leo on Monday morning. Venus/Jupiter sends the optimist into action. The transit can also be one of extravagance, indulgence, overestimating, or “the grass is greener elsewhere.” Later in the day, Mars conjuncts Neptune. This is a wonderfully creative, hopeful, and romantic transit. It can deliver hidden opportunity or a saving grace. On the other hand, the transit is also one of blurred lines, overexposure, vulnerability, and seeing what you want to see.
Tuesday delivers the last of four new moons in a row to occur at zero degrees. The past four months have set up a recalibration cycle. Extending that program for three more weeks, Mercury in Aquarius begins retrograde on Wednesday morning. For the next few weeks, we’ll continue to break new ground while we also retrace and review. Be prepared for anything goes. Remember to maintain an objective viewpoint, stay open to exploring, think outside the box, and don’t discount a thing until you’ve given it the test of time.

Saw this about astrology columns, laughed out loud
Jan 18, 2015 at 2:48am

For example, it is a running in-joke in publishing that the astrology columns in local newspapers are invariably compiled and written by the in-house work experience kid, under a some such alliterative byline as Deidre Devine or Simone Starr. The fact that readers don’t complain about the inaccuracy of the daft predictions despite them being made up on the spot by an unpaid 18-year-old between doing coffee rounds says a lot.

Is it true, Georgia Straight?
