From cat-themed courses to stand-up paddle board sessions, Vancouver has seen its fair share of offbeat yoga classes. Now, Liquid Yoga is joining the lineup with a number of weekly in-pool experiences taking place throughout the summer.

Offered by Vancouver’s Westin Bayshore (1601 Bayshore Drive), the classes take place at the hotel’s revamped “H2Oasis” pool, where participants bend themselves into various positions on Aquamats atop the water. According to the Westin, the 60-minute sessions “stretches each practitioner’s body and awakens the mind” while introducing the challenge of staying balanced on the floating mat.

The classes are led by local instructors Kristy Wright Schell and Emma Jessica Collins, the former of whom is the founder of Stand Up Paddle Vancouver. It’s fit for yogis of all experience levels. The one requirement is that you know how to swim.

Liquid Yoga sessions take place on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Spots are $30 and must be reserved ahead of time online. Six seats are available in each class. For more information, visit the Westin Bayshore’s website.
