North Vancouver firefighters decided to smash some pumpkins for a good cause on Saturday.
The 4th Annual Pumpkin Drop at 900 St. Denis Avenue was a fundraiser to support Jay Piggot.
He's a North Shore Rescue member and father of two with a rare form of liver cancer known as cholangiocarcinoma.
A fundrazr page has been created to help him cover the cost of a treatment known as transarterial chemoembolization, which is offered at the University of Washington.
