Some of the country’s top hair and makeup artists will compete on an upcoming web-based series called Canada’s Best Beauty Talent.

The reality show will be hosted by Richmond-raised supermodel Coco Rocha, who has walked the runways of top fashion houses, including Versace, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Dior, and has been an outspoken member of the fashion community against eating disorders and the use of Photoshop in print advertisements.

Similar to other fashion-based reality shows, such as Canada’s Next Top Model and Project Runway, Canada’s Best Beauty Talent will follow 12 contestants as they compete in a series of hair and makeup challenges for the chance to be named “Canada’s Best Beauty Talent.” The top prize also includes a trip to Paris, a two-page feature in Flare, Hello! Canada, and LouLou magazines, a chance to attend the Toronto International Film Festival with L’Oreal Paris, a review of their portfolios by magazine editors, and a beauty blog on Chatelaine magazine’s website.

The webisodes will be filmed in Toronto at the end of March, and the show will premiere online in April.
