Vancouverites missing the kitschy-cool knickknacks found at Paboom since the gift and home décor store closed in 2011 after a decade-long run in Kitsilano will be happy to know that Paboom is back—for a limited time—in the form of a pop-up shop.

The Paboom Pop-Up (2028 West 4th Avenue) is open every day until December 30—just in time for last-minute holiday shopping. The shop carries a mix of home décor and kitchenware, fashion accessories and jewellery, art and edibles.

Fashionistas will appreciate the colourful assortment of nylon totes and backpacks by New York’s Baggu and handmade necklaces by East Van accessories label Wasted Effort. Meanwhile, for the foodie on your list, check out Texas-based Leah Duncan’s printed tea towels or pick up a few locally-made Beta 5 chocolate bars.

Fox & Brie pocket squares and bow ties, handmade leather key chains by Montreal’s The Stowe, knitted hot water bottle cozies, and miniature vintage toys make perfect stocking stuffers.

Of course, people living on Vancouver Island can visit the Paboom shop (1437 Store Street) in Victoria year-round.
