Sneakerheads: Converse x Comme des Garçons PLAY Chuck 70s

      The deets:

Nothing says spring like white canvas, and this style radiates the kind of uplifting, love-one-another vibes we all need right now. The look is low-top Chuck Taylor All Star '70s, complete with rubber toe cap and thick sole. They're emblazoned with CDG PLAY's signature heart-and-eyes print, finished with the black stripe detail up the heel ($180-$200). Damn cute.

      Randomness:

In 2002, Polish-born, New York City-based artist Filip Pągowski worked with Comme des Garçons’ Rei Kawakubohis to create the iconic, marker-like image of the red heart with two eyes. The graphic would become the symbol for Comme des Garçons’ graphically driven Play collections--and one of the most recognizable symbols in the fashion world.

      Stockists:

      Converse.ca and HoltRenfrew.com

      Soundtrack:

"Groove Is in the Heart" by Deee-Lite off the album World Clique.
