Through this lecture you will come to appreciate the historical significance Turkey has played to world civilization. Starting in cosmopolitan Istanbul, explore the ancient site of Pergamum and white marble streets of Greco-Roman Ephesus and continue to the unique landscapes and cave dwellings of Cappadocia’s enchanting valleys. In Eastern Turkey we admire the sunset from the mausoleum of Antiochus on Mount Nemrut and breathtaking views of Lake Van and Mount Ararat.
