A dark, droll and dirty firsthand account of the War on Terror, from a stand-up comic who should be dead. Twice.

Morris Bartlett goes to war - then cracks jokes about it...??! At War is a fascinating storytelling saga that explores the brotherhood of soldiers, PTSD, and the paradox of postmodern warfare...along with public poop bags, kamikaze camel spiders, and an Afghani hash stash of mass destruction...!

No stranger to the fickleness of fate, Afghan War veteran Morris Bartlett confidently straddles the line between hopeless and hilarious as he recounts his tour of duty as a corporal with First Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, based in the desert stronghold of Ma'Sum Ghar, chasing ghosts across the landscape of ancient holy warriors.

Must-see brain food with a heavy side of humor for both civilians and military folk alike:
Tickets: $12 in advance / $14 at the door (available from 7pm)

Created and performed by Morris Bartlett - a rising star on the Western Canadian comedy scene, with dramaturgy by Fringe femme fatale Devon More of New West's weekly Way Off-Broadway Wednesday series. At War lends a uniquely human perspective to a complicated conflict in a performance that is intriguing, funny, and strangely poignant.
