Artist in Residence: Celeste Snowber, PhD is a dancer, poet, writer and award-winning educator who is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. She has written over 50 publications in the area of embodiment and arts-based research and creates site-specific performances in the natural world. Her books include Embodied Prayer and Embodied Inquiry: Writing, living and being through the body. She is the author of two collections of poetry, Wild Tourist and co-authored Blue Waiting published by Acorn Press in 2017. She is presently working on several poetry collections which explore connections between ecology and the arts, one being the poetry which has emerged out of out of her residency in the UBC Botanical Garden.
