During the 17th Century, women – thirsty for knowledge and freedom – began to read, discuss and absorb all the learning they could now get their hands on. The familiar “Voice of Reason”, present in almost every Moliere play and always a male, is now, for the first time, female. This is an adaptation by Freyda Thomas, the playwright who gave us “The Miser” and “Splitting Heirs” in earlier seasons. June 22 - 24 at PAL Studio Theatre, 581 Cardero St., 7:30 Fri - Sun, 2pm Sat/Sun. learned.brownpapertickets.com or phone 604.363.5734.
