Saori Handweaving: A Japanese Textile Revolution

Throw out the rules and unleash your creativity! Learn the methods and principals of Saori Handweaving, be inspired by examples and play with a variety of materials on floor looms. In this 3-hour session, participants will have the chance to weave on both a small loom and a large floor loom. Participants can take home their weavings and a cardboard loom to continue the fun!
Kim Cowley-Adam
Kim Cowley-Adam trained with the founder of SAORI hand weaving in Osaka, Japan, becoming the first North American SAORI instructor in 1997. She has demonstrated ‘anarchy with purpose’ in workshops and classes on two continents and exhibited her handwoven art in Canada, the USA and France.
