Chamber music is all about connection, community, and relationships--and there's no more potent relationship than the string quartet! The Blueridge Festival closes with a concert by Canada's famous Borealis String Quartet, featuring Shostakovich's rich and vibrant Ninth Quartet and Dvorak's ebullient "American." Rounding out the program is the radiant First String Quartet, subtitled "A falcon, a storm, or a great song," by the Latvian-born, Okanagan-based composer Imant Raminsh.

Program:
Imant Raminsh: String Quartet no. 1
Dmitri Shostakovich: String Quartet no. 9
Antonin Dvorak: String Quartet in F Major, op. 94 "American"

Featuring:
Borealis String Quartet
