Mimi Ama & Ronna Ander Exhibition
District Foyer Gallery, 355 West Queens Rd., North VancouverMimi Ama is a Vancouver-based artist originally from Toyko, Japan. Ama came to Canada to be closer to nature and to immerse herself in the wilderness. Whilst living in Yellowknife, Ama was inspired by the Aurora Borealis that dance across the northern skies. It is this connection with nature that has inspired the work in this exhibition, with compositions depicting towering boreal forests set against a backdrop of one of earth’s most beautiful spectacles – the Northern Lights.
