“Moments: Life As We Live It” is an exhibit by Vancouver-based photographer Ted Nodwell that brings us face to face with ourselves. With images made in Canada, China, Japan, Vietnam, France and Argentina, the collection portrays human moments that can occur anywhere—literally stopping people in their tracks. By freezing small moments in everyday life, the exhibit reveals the ‘oneness’ of us all, regardless of where we live or what we do. Taken together, this collection of images tells our story.

For Ted Nodwell, his camera lets him observe and share the marvels and mysteries of everyday life that he experiences. His goal is to “distill the essence of each situation and to create images that take on a life of their own.”

The exhibit is on display at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden from August 12 - September 14, 2018.
