World War II veteran Jake reluctantly returns to Normandy, France, for the 60th Anniversary of D-Day. While on the shores of Juno beach, he encounters Isabelle, a precocious local 10-year-old whose inquisitive nature and charm challenge the old soldier to confront some long-ignored ghosts. Jake’s Gift explores the legacy of remembrance and personalizes the story behind one soldier’s grave.
