Dido and Aeneas
Hycroft Manor, 1489 McRae, Vancouver The greatest masterpiece of the English Baroque, Dido and Aeneas has some of the most wonderful characters and arias in the operatic repertoire. Based on the Virgil epic, the story recounts the brief courtship between Queen Dido of Carthage and Prince Aeneas of Troy.
