Having previously transported us to war zones, Kim Nguyen now immerses us in even more hostile territory: the world of high-frequency stock trading. Jesse Eisenberg and Alexander Skarsgård play cousins who are intent on creating a 1,000-mile-long fibre-optic cable that’ll shave a critical millisecond off of stock transactions. The scale of their project ensures myriad challenges but those can’t hold a candle to the wrath of their outraged former boss (Salma Hayek) who’s made their ruin her top priority.
