Isaac Ezban (The Similars) again digs into his bag of Twilight Zone-influenced tricks, this time to conjure a warped reality in which ambitious app developers stumble across a portal to the multiverse. Doing the time-warp again and again, they scavenge information from other realities with the intention of bettering their lot. Instead, they only ensure that their looming reckoning grows all the more catastrophic. Ezban confirms himself to be one of sci-fi cinema’s talents to watch. Accept no substitutes!
