Since 2016, the Philip B. Lind Emerging Artist Prize has been awarded to a university student working in film, photography, or video. The winner of The Lind Prize receives $5,000 and a chance to produce and exhibit a project with The Polygon Gallery. This year, over thirty candidates were nominated, and a jury of artists and curators chose nine finalists, whose work makes up The Lind Prize 2018 exhibition.

On October 4, The Polygon invites teens to get critical at The Lind Prize exhibition! Participants will form their own jury, discuss the finalists’ work, and choose their top pick. The finalist chosen by the teen jury will receive a book award. This event is an opportunity to discuss contemporary art, learn about the jury process, voice opinions, and collaborate with peers.

Following this event, participants will have an opportunity to contribute their thoughts on future teen programming at The Polygon Gallery.
