Join Marian Jago (author, musicologist) and Gavin Walker (alto saxophonist, host of The Jazz Show, CiTR 101.9FM) for the launch of "Live at the Cellar: Vancouver's Iconic Jazz Club and the Canadian Co-Operative Jazz Scene in the 1950s and '60s." Marian Jago's new book is the first to document the remarkable rise of co-operative jazz clubs in Canada, including Vancouver's very own "original" Cellar, the Black Spot, and the Flat Five. She will share stories and photographs from this rich and vital history, and the talk will be followed with a question and answer.
