In Occupied Territories, artists Edith Krause, Lisa Nickel, Deborah Colvin and Deb deJong explore the connection between place and state of mind, and the internal territories occupied by our experience. The exhibition encompasses several different artistic approaches through medium and theme, including the juxtaposition of human tissue images with landscapes, the idea of nests as a place of refuge and the mind’s desire for ascendance.

Occupied Territories will open at the Fort Gallery on October 17th and be on view until November 11th. Please consider this your invitation to attend the opening reception, October 27th, 1-4pm.
