What the Poets Are Doing: Canadian Poets in Conversation is a book of conversations between Canadian poets and serves as a sequel-of-sorts to the 2002 interview collection Where the Words Come From. It features well-established Canadian poets like Dionne Brand, Karen Solie and Steven Heighton in conversation with (comparably) up-and-coming poets such as Kayla Czaga, Katherena Vermette, and Canisia Lubrin. The poets discuss poetry, politics, and more in wide-ranging conversations as idiosyncratic as the poets themselves. It's a great book for anyone interested in writing or reading poetry (or literature in general) - whether that's you or someone on your Christmas list!

The book will be available in stores in November, and can be pre-ordered now at your local bookstore, or on Amazon.ca, Amazon.com or Chapters.ca.

You're invited to the Vancouver launch! The details:
