Are you looking for a fun evening out this Remembrance Day Long Weekend to celebrate the freedoms that we enjoy today?

Please join us, The Unity Centre Association for Black Cultures, on Sunday November 11, 2018 from 6pm - 11pm for Remembrance Day "Dinner & Tings" at the Reef Caribbean Restaurant located at 4172 Main Street in Vancouver, BC.

We will be honouring the memory of Canada's bravest - our veterans!! A special recognition of the only predominantly black battalion in Canadian military history, the No. 2 Construction Battalion, (Canadian Expeditionary Force) will be held. An often untold gem in Canadian History!

This event will feature an array of live entertainment with talents from our local black community including reggae performer Kassa Jones, rap lyricist Arami The Corrector, saxophonist Paul Choisil, and percussionist/ drummer Maurice Earle. Emceed by hair care extraordinaire Michelle St. Hill of Eddie & Ev, the Salon with DJ Devon spinning tunes all night long! Guaranteed to be an evening full of soul-shaking, foot-thumping, feel good vibes!!

Feeling lucky? Walk away with a little extra in your pocket with our 50/50 draw, rum basket draws, and door prizes. For the Rum lovers, $10 Rum flight samples will be served!

Nothing like flavourful island cuisine! Choose from the following entrees: Chicken or Ital (Vegetarian) Curry -OR- Chicken or Ital (Vegetarian) Roti. Your choice of (1) soft drink, tea, or coffee will be included. But don't worry - we got your Johnny Cakes and Mango Butter covered too! Alcoholic beverages available for purchase from the bar.
