"Tell me what you see." This first line from Off Season, which follows a vacationing couple in Palermo, speaks to the issues at the heart of these formally disparate films: perception, and its counterpart, delusion. Subject to Review, an examination of tennis' video review system, and Ich Armer Mensch, a rendering of Bach's Cantata No. 55, are the other inclusions - certainly wonderful on their own, but even more scintillating as tacit connections emerge between these remarkable works of art.
