Past VIFF guest Heinz Emigholz is creating an essential body of work documenting important architecture in many countries, and his latest is one of his most rewarding films yet. Commissioned by the Kunsthalle Mannheim museum in 2012 to document its refurbishment, Emigholz captured the transformation of an art institution over a fascinating span of years (take note Vancouverites!). He also constructs beautiful images of the artworks inside, adding to an already extremely pleasurable viewing experience.
