The Hayley Laufer Duo is familiar to Vancouver audiences from the Blueridge Festival, the Hayley-Laufer Duo consists of Vancouver-based soprano Dorothea Hayley and Venezuelan pianist Manuel Laufer. *Night Sparks* is a journey through centuries of music inspired by nocturnal wonders: from beloved classics of Schubert and Purcell, through 20th Century masterpieces by Webern, Cage, Babbitt, and Vivier, to recent works by Ka-Schu Tam and BC composer Dorothy Chang.
