This hands-on two day workshop will be a delicious exploration of Spanish food and cooking. Over the weekend, we will proceed to a deeper exploration of ingredients and cooking techniques to help you make delicious, authentic food at home! Cook, eat, have fun, and learn how to get the most out of basic pantry staples, along with authentic Spanish ingredients. Travel stories and food highlights will also be on the menu as we take an in-depth exploration of this exotic, sun-drenched culinary destination. The menu will include authentic seafood paella, mouthwatering vegetables, desserts and delicious Spanish tapas ranging from Gambas al Ajillo (local shrimp with garlic) to Tortilla Espanola (potato frittata). Learn where to find good Spanish ingredients on Vancouver Island and how to plan a Spanish-themed dinner party.

Weekend Schedule
Friday: Welcome reception with tasty tapas, tea sangria and great discussions about Spanish ingredients.
Saturday: Dive into the kitchen and spend the morning cooking up a storm. A light lunch will be served followed by a break. The group reconvenes in the afternoon for another few hours of cooking and preparing for dinner.
Sunday: A light Spanish breakfast and the opportunity to ask Chef Heidi any final questions about Spanish ingredients, cooking methods and finding the right ingredients.
