The highly anticipated return of Brown Paper Couture has made its way to Oakridge’s East and West Galleria. Building on the excitement from last year, the stunning student display will expand to feature 26 hand-crafted paper creations inspired by famous fashion designers.

In January 2015, Langara College’s Design Formation students recreated the iconic designer dresses, transforming modest materials, such as craft paper, cardboard, coffee filters, tape, thumbtacks, tissue and string, into haute couture fashion. This cornerstone project of Design Formation’s Retail Visual Presentation course teaches prop building, aesthetics, and creative problem solving.
