Though its members came from humble beginnings, since 2014 California-based Common Kings has quickly risen to become “one of the most popular pop/reggae bands in recent years” (OC Weekly). On March 4 fans in Vancouver can catch them at the Biltmore Cabaret. Born in the South Pacific and raised in Orange County, CA, the band’s individual memebers draw on a diverse range of musical influences including Bob Marley, Jim Croce, Gypsy Kings, Stevie Wonder, and Led Zepplin. But they say being from Polynesia their common ground has always been reggae. Common Kings has toured with Justin Timberlake and Fifth Harmony, and have co-headlined with CeeLo.
