Hello Women Leaders!

Come join us for our second fantastic leadership talk, Finding Your Leadership 'One Thing'.

Being a leader is often less glamorous than it's made out to be. Alongside the #LikeABoss mugs, high salaries, and calling the shots, you also get a healthy dose of difficult conversations, complex decisions, and taking action when you'd much rather hide out. Heck, sometimes leading can feel like putting out fires while herding cats. Amazing.

With all that chaos, it can help to cut through the noise and remember why you do what you do and what impact you want to leave in the world. August's talk is going to help you do exactly that. Our mission this month is to help you figure out your 'One Thing' about leadership -- the one, most important, non-negotiable thing you want to create in your work as a leader -- so that you can use it as a strong foundation for your leadership.

This talk will focus on helping you create your own, personalized Leadership 'One Thing'. At the event, we'll cover:

1. How simplifying down to first principals can keep you on track when life and business get crazy
2. How sharing your core mission can fight isolation and build connection
3. How to find your Leadership One Thing
4. Sharing your One Thing

The goal of this talk is to help you get clear on what's most important to you in your leadership.

I'm really psyched for this month's talk because I'm co-hosting with Setareh Bateni of One Thing Designs and both her and her business are amazing. One Thing is a jewelry company dedicated to spreading a message of connection in the world. Every one of their beautiful locket bracelets and necklaces hold 'One Thing' messages from all over the world -- just like the ones we'll be creating. To help keep your mission top of mind, every person who attends the talk will get their own One Thing locket bracelet where they can store their Leadership One Thing message.

This talk will be co-lead by Holly Burton and Setareh Bateni. Holly Burton is a Career Coach for Women in Male-Dominated Industries, and the Organizer of the Women's Leadership Collective. Setareh is the creator of One Thing Designs and a legitimate gem of a person (pun intended!). Her mission in life is to help fight isolation, one locket and One Thing message at a time. The event starts at 6:30pm and goes until 8:30pm. The talk will be from 7-8pm, with time for networking at the beginning and end of the event. We'll have snacks and drinks as well as our famous clothespin name tags so you don't have any awkwardness over names as you meet some friendly new faces.
