Up Close Recital Society is pleased to announce their third recital and the first of the 2017/2018 season featuring The James Danderfer Trio on Thursday October 12th 2017 at 7pm at Old Crow Coffee (655 Front Street New Westminster).
The James Danderfer Trio features three prominent Canadian musicians: James Danderfer on clarinet, the legendary Oliver Gannon on guitar and Jodi Proznick on bass. The trio will be performing compositions written by bandleader James Danderfer along with swinging classic standards by Kern, Hammerstein, and Gershwin.
Twice nominated “best jazz clarinetist” in the National Jazz Awards, LEO award-winning composer/performer James Danderfer has performed and recorded with some of the finest jazz musicians in North America. James’s recent film score work includes the award- winning short film “Bedbugs:A Musical Love Story”, the animated feature film “The Pixies” and brand new film “Trying” which is currently playing in film festivals internationally.
