The Bald Soprano
Studio D, SFU's Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, 149 W. Hastings, VancouverPresented by the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts, our take on Eugene Ionesco's “The Bald Soprano” is a satirical look at our so-called ‘middle class:’ an inward look at a lost culture that hasn’t the skills to communicate in person but that has the ‘guts’ to build a multi-million dollar start up. Set in contemporary Vancouver, our re-staging of the play explores the “minimalist movement” and the vapidity that comes along with living on the West Coast – the terrifying place where everything is possible and nothing is certain, at a time that is on the brink of changing the world. Directed by Emelia Symington Fedy.
