Join West Coast Environmental Law for a night of music, dancing, and learning at our upcoming fundraiser in partnership with the Yunesit’n community.
The wildfires that swept BC this year devastated Tsilhqot’in territory, forcing some communities to cancel their hunting season, and leaving many communities without important sources of wild food.
The intensifying impacts of climate change pose a threat to Indigenous self-governance and sovereignty. We are working with Yunesit’in community members to host a fundraiser to highlight these issues and help stock freezers for the winter.
Get ready to dance the night away! Local stars BUCKMAN COE will uplift vibrations with their signature “dance-floor friendly roots reggae”, and DJ Young Dene will hold down the dancefloor until the end of the night. More local talent to be announced soon!
Join us for this celebration of the community’s leadership and resilience, and show support for upholding Tsilhqot’in law and governance.
Please help us spread the word by inviting your friends and family, and sharing this event with your networks!
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Yunesit’in Chief and Council to support food security in the community for the coming year.
