CandyTown is making its sixth annual return to Downtown Vancouver, transforming the heritage district of Yaletown into a winter wonderland on November 25, 2017. The neighboourhood-wide celebration will host merchants through the Yaletown Business Improvement Association, featuring food, gifts, music and other local vendors. With over 15,000 attendees last year, the 2017 lineup of activities and sugar-packed fun is sure to bring in even more revelers.

Vancouver’s sweetest winter festival is geared to be fun for all ages. With Christmas crafts, balloon-animal demos, roving musicians and costumed characters, CandyTown is an event to ignite the festive spirits of even the most stubborn of Scrooges. Kids can create their own candy kebobs at the Candy Hut, watch a live ice sculpture demonstration or visit Santa and the Ice Queen.

For the adults who are still young at heart, CandyTown is the perfect place to shop local for gifts such as handmade crafts, jewelry, and skin care products at the All I want for Christmas Street Market. Also recommended is a quick pit stop at the OPUS bar for a holiday themed cocktail followed by a cruise along Pacific Drive in a horse-drawn carriage. Delicious food trucks will be on-site, featuring Sidney Smokehouse, Earls Kitchen + Bar, Damien’s Belgian Waffles, and Old Country Pierogi. For those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth, additional food vendors will also serve mouthwatering deserts, including Bluebird Cakery, The Good Chocolatier and Maple’s Sugar Shack.

Attendees are encouraged to bring cash for donations that will benefit BC Children’s Hospital, Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Rotary Club. Donations will be accepted for horse-drawn carriage rides, and visits with Santa and the Ice Queen.
