Hastings Park, a venue for horse racing, concerts, professional hockey, conventions, trade shows, and the PNE summer fair, is currently undergoing a restoration to improve its green spaces. Features include a skatepark, soccer and softball fields, a running track, and the recently developed Sanctuary and Italian Gardens. The Hastings Park Conservancy holds monthly nature walks in the park as well as recording park activities, wildlife presence, and plant life; vegetation management; and site maintenance issues.
