      Nico and Karri Schuermans have been bringing the rich and delectable flavours of Belgium to Vancouver diners since they opened the doors to Chambar in 2004. The restaurant's expansive room, located near Rogers Arena, offers an unpretentious fine dining experience.

      Two set menus please indecisive diners, while the main dinner menu showcases indulgent specialties including La Brochette d'Autruche (grilled ostrich, small balsamic onions, and marinated prunes served with a five-herb pesto), Carpaccio de Bison Japonais (seared bison carpaccio served with pickled vegetables and soba noodles), as well as Tajine d'Aziz à l'Agneau (braised lamb shank with honey, figs, and cinnamon served with couscous). However, Chambar is also as well known for their authentic Moules Frites (mussels and fries) as they are for their large selection of beers and hand-crafted cocktails.

      Chambar has won multiple Golden Plates Awards including Best Overall Restaurant and been visited by the likes of singer-songwriter Lou Reed and model Cindy Crawford. Additionally Chef Nico Schuermans has cooked for Mick Jagger, Prince, and Bill Clinton.
