After collision with vehicle in Burnaby, cyclist hospitalized with possible critical injuries

      A cyclist was hospitalized with what are believed to be critical injuries after colliding with a vehicle in Burnaby yesterday.

      Around noon on September 12, officers responded to a report about a vehicle collision involving a cyclist at the intersection of MacPherson Avenue and Beresford Street in Burnaby.

      According to a Burnaby RCMP statement issued today (September 13), a vehicle heading northbound struck a cyclist who was crossing MacPherson Avenue at Beresford Street.

      The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

      The 23-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
