      Three days really doesn’t feel all that long for a long weekend. Four days would feel long, hell, even five would be nice. 

      Three days off should be a normal, average length weekend. One day for fun, one day for chores, one day for rest. The trifecta. 

      Perhaps this Canada Day “long” weekend is the perfect time for the workers of the world to unite in a rousing call for a four day work week. Down with colonial capitalism! Down with the bourgeoisie! Viva la revolución!

      New West Craft Summer Night Market

      Shop over 60 handmade vendors outside on the boardwalk and inside River Market. Enjoy live music along with food and drinks from amazing River Market restaurants, food trucks, and more.

      Canada Together

      Five city blocks at Canada Place will feature food trucks, a Kids' Zone, World Zone and a main stage with a diverse lineup of entertainment, including headliners Tegan and Sara.

      76th Steveston Salmon Festival

      Spanning from Britannia Shipyards to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, enjoy the day-long program which will feature live music, exhibitions, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and the return of the popular Canada Day parade.

      When: July 1, 10am to 5pm
      Where: Steveston Village, Richmond
      Admission: Free

      Cover Me Hip!

      Cover Me Hip! is a live music experience, featuring The Tragically Hip covers performed by Gift Shop, one of Vancouver's leading cover bands.

      Admission: $10 in advance, $15 at the door

      Le Tigre

      Kathleen Hanna, JD Samson, and Johanna Fateman are hitting the road for the first time in nearly 20 years and finding themselves performing at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom.
