COVID-19 in B.C.: 34 schools with new exposures in all five health authorities

      All five regional health authorities in B.C. added a total of 34 schools with new exposure dates today (November 26).

      Island Health 

      Island Health added Sir James Douglas Elementary (401 Moss Street) in Victoria to its list, with an exposure on November 23.

      Northern Health

      Northern Health had five schools with new dates.

      Charlie Lake Elementary School (2655 Charlie Lake Frontage Road) in Charlie Lake had exposures from November 23 to 24.

      In Dawson Creek, Dawson Creek Secondary School (South Peace Campus, 10808 15th Street), which previously had an exposure event from September 23 to 25, added November 16 to 18.

      In Fort St. John, Energetic Learning Campus (9708 93 Avenue) had an exposure event from November 16 to 20.

      In Fort St. James, Fort St. James Secondary School (450 Douglas Avenue) had exposures from November 19 to 20.

      In Prince George, Peden Hill Elementary School (3500 Westwood Drive), which previously had an exposure event from November 12 to 17, had a new exposure event from November 17 to 20. 

      Interior Health

      Interior Health had three schools with new exposures, all in Kelowna:

      • Rutland Senior Secondary (705 Rutland Road North), which previously had an exposure on November 16, had more exposures from November 17 to 19;
      • Rutland Middle School (715 Rutland Road North) has exposures from November 17 to 20;
      • École KLO Middle School (3130 Gordon Drive)—which had previous exposures on October 30 and November 2, from November 3 to 6, and on November 8; and from November 9 to 10—had new exposures from November 17 to 19. 
      W.D. Ferris Elementary

      Vancouver Coastal Health 

      Vancouver Coastal Health had six schools with new exposure dates.

      In Richmond, two schools had new dates:

      • W.D Ferris Elementary School (7520 Sunnymede Crescent) had an exposure on November 20;
      • R.C. Palmer Secondary (8160 St Albans Road), which previously had exposures on October 22 and from November 18 and 20, added November 17. 

      In Vancouver, two schools had new dates:

      • L'École Bilingue Elementary School (1166 West 14th Avenue) had exposures from November 19 to 20;
      • J.W. Sexsmith Elementary School (7410 Columbia Street), which previously had exposures on October 30 and November 2, had new exposures from November 18 to 20 and 23. 

      In West Vancouver, Sentinel Secondary (1250 Chartwell Drive)—which had previous exposure dates of September 14 to 18 and 21—had a new exposure on November 16. 

      In Brackendale, Don Ross Middle School (42091 Ross Road), which had a previous exposure on November 2, had a new exposure on November 19. 

      J.T. Brown Elementary

      Fraser Health

      Fraser Health had 19 schools with new exposure dates. 

      In Abbotsford, Abbotsford Christian School (35011 Old Clayburn Road) temporarily closed its middle school on November 16 for two weeks after it had exposures from November 4 to 6 and from November 9 to 10 and six confirmed cases, while its elementary and secondary schools remained open. However, it has had a new exposure event from November 18 to 20. 

      In Coquitlam, Centennial Secondary (570 Poirier Street)—which previously had exposures from October 15 to 16; from October 19 to 21; and on November 13 and 17—added November 16. 

      In Delta, Southpointe Academy (1900 56th Street) had an exposure on November 16.

      In Langley, Langley Christian School (22702 48th Avenue) had an exposure event from November 17 to 19.

      In Maple Ridge, two schools had new dates:

      • Albion Elementary (10031 240th Street), which previously had an exposure on November 6, had an exposure event from November 17 to 19;
      • Fairview Elementary (12209 206th Street) had an exposure on November 19.

      In Mission, Christine Morrison Elementary (32611 McRae Avenue) had an exposure on November 16.

      In Surrey, 12 schools added new dates:

      • Frank Hurt Secondary (13940 77th Avenue) in Surrey—which previously had exposures from October 1 to 2; from October 5 to 9; from October 13 to 16; on October 19, 21, 22, and 30from November 2 to 3; on November 4, 5, 10, and 12; and from November 16 to 17—added November 19; 
      • Frost Road Elementary (8606 162 Street)—which had previous exposures from November 3 to 4; and on November 5—added November 17 to 18; 
      • Hazelgrove Elementary (7057 191 Street)—which previously had exposures on October 30, and from November 17 to 19—added November 16; 
      • J.T. Brown Elementary (12530 60th Avenue) had an exposure on November 19;
      • Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary (6151 180 Street)—which previously had exposures from September 14 to 15; on November 10 and 12; and from November 16 to 17—added November 18 to 19; 
      • Princess Margaret Secondary (12870 72nd Avenue)—which previously had exposures on September 11; on October 12, 15, and 16; on October 26 and 29; from November 2 to 5; on November 6; and on November 13—added November 16 to 17; 
      • Royal Heights Elementary (11665 97th Avenue)—which had previous exposures from November 2 to 4, and on November 16—added November 18; 
      • Strawberry Hill Elementary (7633 124th Street)—which had previous exposures from September 29 to 30, and from November 4 to 5—added November 12; 
      • Tamanawis Secondary School (12600 66 Avenue)—which previously had incidents on September 17 and 30; October 2 and 6; from October 13 to 16; on October 19; from October 26 to 28; and from November 3 to 5—had new exposures on November 12, 13, 16, and 17; 
      • Westerman Elementary (7626 122 Street)—which previously had exposure events from October 5 to 7; from October 15 to 16; and from November 2 to 3—added November 12 and 13; 
      • Woodward Hill Elementary (6082 142 Street)—which previously had exposures from October 14 to 16 and 19 to 20—added November 16 to 18; 
      • Southridge (2656 160th Street), which previously had exposure events from September 28 to October 1 and on October 2, added November 16 to 17 to its exposure dates.
