Check out our latest adoptable pooches:

      Meet Rollie and Asher

      (Rescued by .)

These croissant-coloured bonded pups are sure to melt your heart with their quirky personalities.

Rollie is a seven-year-old shy Chihuahua pug mix with a wrinkly face to die for. Asher is his confident five-year-old Australian terrier mix counterpart.

Asher could snag a modelling career without question—the boy knows how to pose.

Both pups have been living in a foster home for the past four years. They have yet to experience stability or love as they were found together, dumped at a gravel pit, in Abbotsford.

Rollie is the yin to Asher’s yang. The pair must be adopted together as their friendship is the only constant that they have ever known.

Both dogs have come a long way since their rescue day. They were initially frightened and untrusting of humans but Asher is now affectionate and friendly. Rollie is still warming up to the idea of humans so he prefers to follow Asher’s lead. Neither have aggressive tendencies.

Because of their difficult upbringing, Rollie and Asher require a human companion with plenty of patience, compassion, and experience. The duo’s future family must also be able to spend lots of time with them on a daily basis so that they feel safe.

The team at Dhana Metta Rescue Society has been searching for the perfect home for Rollie and Asher, which must be child-free and have a fenced yard for potty breaks. This unfortunately means they cannot live in an apartment.

Like all rescue animals, it will take Rollie and Asher a considerable amount of time to adjust to their new environment. The two will likely encounter and have to work through some of their old triggers like cars, loud noises, and strangers. This is why both sweet boys need to be adopted by someone who is willing to help them overcome their fears.
