Up to five centimetres of snow could fall across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley on Christmas Eve.

Environment Canada based this on a Pacific weather system.

"The snow is expected to be heavier early this morning, and could potentially impact the morning rush hour," the national weather forecaster stated.

Meanwhile, an Arctic outflow is bringing a wind-chill factor to as low as -20 C in parts of the B.C. Interior.
