Granville Island is offering kids and youth free access to a mini skateboard-ramp this winter.

The indoor ramp is located at Ocean Art Works, in the former Bill Reid carving shed, between Ocean Cement and the Public Market.

Supervised by volunteers from the Vancouver Skateboard Coalition, the facility offers an open skate for kids under 19, youth skatequeer skate, and "gurl" skate.

The ramp is open daily, including Christmas and New Year’s Day, and you can learn more here.
