Anyone who's filled up their gas tank in Vancouver this week has probably noticed some eye-popping prices.

The cost per litre has exceededd $1.73 for regular fuel, but it will come down by Wednesday (January 12) according to one industry analyst.

Former MP Dan McTeague, creator of the GasWizard.ca website, is forecasting a drop of four cents to $1.69.9 for regular gas in Vancouver.

Also on Wednesday, he expects premium gas to dip in Vancouver by five cents a litre to $189.9. However, he's predicting that diesel fuel will go up by two cents to reach $1.679.
